Shop Made Router Table

Here’s the shop made router table (wouldn’t that be fun for a shop made tool swap LOL) I whipped up. The base is made of 2×4s, the top made of plywood and MDF. I used toilet flange bolts to fit in my “t-tracks” (really just routed plywood under split MDF). The fence is made from a discarded bed support rail with an additional piece of 1×4. I made the bolt handles from oak scrap and a few t-nuts and dowels. Jeez, when I describe it like that it sounds pretty nasty.

But she works!

For details and LOTS of pictures, here’s my blog links:

I will be using this right away after testing it last week. It was a lot of fun to build and really complements my shop now! Glad I have it. I’m thinking of adding a container or box underneath, so it may get tweaked, but it is finished.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks! Yeah the bedframe is the nicest looking part lol Some kind of really light wood that cane from Indonesia. It had a spalted look to it on the end that broke. I cut that off and used the nice end for the table.
