This is my first attempt at a segmented bowl I really enjoyed turning this bowl, but I must admit it took me awhile to get everything cut, and glued up. I used four kinds of wood the top ring is Mahogany, the second ring is Black Walnut, the third ring is Cherry, and the fourth ring is Pine. I know what your thinking Pine ??? I used what I had around the shop. The bottom is Black Walnut. There is a total of 33 pieces in this bowl, and has 4 coats of wipe-on poly thanks for looking.

Great job Bill. I like all the diff woods. I don’t have all the diff woods you have oh well maybe some day.

Just made a haul of free 1×2, 1×3, 1×4’s mostly oak, maple & I think poplar from my Cabinet maker friend. Maybe I will get to turn another one soon. I want to go bigger next time.

Wonderful segmented bowl! Like the wood colors and the finish is great.
