I’ve spent quite a bit of time perusing project posts on LJ for some time now, and finally finished a project that I felt was post worthy. These are the first two of a batch of end grain cutting boards that I’m working on at the moment – getting ready for a couple upcoming weddings and birthdays. The boards consist of Maple with Purple Heart accents.

I like the minimalist approach to end-grain board design. Only two woods, but a world of possibilities.

They look good and classy, the small purple heart accents really add a lot. They are great gift ideas. Well done!
