I’ve spent quite a bit of time perusing project posts on LJ for some time now, and finally finished a project that I felt was post worthy. These are the first two of a batch of end grain cutting boards that I’m working on at the moment – getting ready for a couple upcoming weddings and birthdays. The boards consist of Maple with Purple Heart accents.

Hey Mathew, glad to see you post. Really good looking boards. Hope to see more of your work soon.

Very nice design. Limitless opportunities here with that style.

I like the minimalist approach to end-grain board design. Only two woods, but a world of possibilities.

They look good and classy, the small purple heart accents really add a lot. They are great gift ideas. Well done!
