Another band saw initials box. This time for my sister’s birthday. Middle is quarter sawn white oak, then a layer of curly maple, then front and back layer of sapele. Cut the E and B that serve as pulls from sapele using a scroll saw. Finished with a few coats of General Finishes Arm-R-Seal.

This one of the cooler ideas I’ve seen in a bandsaw box in quite a while, excellent craftsmanship as well. I may borrow this idea in the future. Thanks for posting.

I love the laminated thick stock.. the grain patterns from them into the Sapele is inspiring. Very cool!!

That band saw box is very appealing. Super work indeed.

The contrast between the curly maple and the sapele is so striking. It’s beautiful. The abstract(?) letter “A” is a nice bonus. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful and unique box! Great design, wood colors and finish. Like the idea on the initials as handles, makes it more personalized. Excellent work!
