Mix tape coffee table for my wife.
12:1 scale right down to the ink, oak plywood for the top and bottom, 2×12 with 5/8” dowels for the winders and inside tape, red oak for outside tape and side guides, white oak legs and plexiglass for the windows. Front opens for keyboard, mouse and remotes.
Didn’t know I was gunna paint it until the night before it was done. I found her favorite mix-tape in an old cassette holder in the trunk of our Buick century (which is how old you have to be to own one).
It’s from valentine’s day but I’m new to the site and this is my favorite project so far this year.
Hope you like it, have fun

LOL…. cool idea. The first picture seems to be a real K7 tape without any scale comparison, you did a great job

Awesome. Now you just need to build a 12:1 scale cassette player!

This turned out great, what detail!

Have you started the 8-track tape dining table yet?

Thanks for sharing.

So I suppose your backyard deck is also 12:1 so you can take it out there to play this beauty!

Cool design and execution, thanks for showing us this off the wall project!
