This was a going-away gift for a coworker who was definitely of the work-hard, party-hard mentality. He was also from the Jersey Shore, hence the rhinestones. The cover story was that it would be a perfect cup to hold pencils.
The body and base were built from cherry segments with walnut spacers and the center column was from a maple turning blank. I used a couple different stains but it was finished with wipe-on poly and turning wax.
