Ouch! the table is nice, but I don’t know if it’s finger-chopping nice! ;)

Nice table. We all say it won’t or can’t happen to me. Your misfortune has me rethinking how I do things.

I was tapering the legs with a sled on the TS and it was hot and I was almost done for the day. got a little careless and stuck my finger under the off cut catching the back of the blade. the sled prevented it from being a lot worse! 20 minutes of bandaging and foul language and i was back out there finishin the last 4 cuts and cleaning the blood off the saw. that was yesterday. today i sanded and put it together. wont do that again….... I HOPE!!!!.. :-}

Great looking table!

Next time, just use nail clippers when you need a trim, okay?

Great looking table. Please be careful. I lost half of my left index finger many years ago (not related to woodworking). You don’t realize how much you need ALL of your fingers until you lose one.

BTW: Its not just power tools that we need to be careful of. Several months ago I was using a chisel and in a rush instead of putting the work in a vise I was holding it. Needless to say the chisel slipped and I ended up with 6 stiches in the finger right next to the one I had cut off.

Let’s be careful out there!!!!
