I made the frames for my new screened in porch. The only thing that makes the Pontiac region of Quebec habitable in black fly season :-)
I used white cedar and pegged half lap joints had to make seven of them all 3’x4’ or bigger. The groove for the spline was made with a trim router and a 1/8” spiral bit. You can see my first groove in one of the pics thankfully things got better quickly and spline is forgiving.
I made cams from some left over flooring and screwed them on one side and doweled them on the other so you can just take out the cam on one side making it easy to remove and replace the frames.
Most importantly they are effective :-)
