I created this project for an Army Veteran who wanted a central display for his military items. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1974 and finally made a point to gather his memorabilia to showcase. Red oak and red mahogany stain was used with two coats of Minwax spray poly to seal it. I left an area to mount his “dog tags” when he finds them. Great guy and truly deserving!

A very nice tribute to a deserving Veteran. Being a person who enjoys making shadow boxes, I commonly ask fellow Veterans about what kind of shadow box they have. The most common response from those who served but did not serve long enough to retire is that they don’t have one. Regardless of 6 months or 30+ years, all should be proud of their service and should feel honor in displaying any items earned during their time.

Again, very nice project and I am sure it was received with a great deal of pride and appreciation.
