Had someone ask me if I could build one….I like a challenge and pushing my skills so I gave it a shot. It is made out of 2 1/2 2×4x8’s, titebond, some brad nails and little dowels to connect the rails to the head and foot boards. All in all I finished it in about five hours, give or take. I did put primer and antique white craft paint on it to give it the rustic look. Oh and no the baby isn’t mine…lol. Also since it will be used as a potential prop I tested it with 30lbs of weight.

Great job, I made one of these for my wife to use as a prop. I have another to finish for her also; this time a canopy bed.

It looks good and has a nice rustic look. I’m sure the wife appreciates it. Great job!
