Project Information

Ok so what do you do with a little one while school is out of session and you still have to make a living? I thought it would be a good idea to teach my little boy some skills using his hands so we decided to make some birdhouses. he draws up the plans and I interpret them and fabricate the components. he then assembles and decorates (or paints ) his completed projects. lately he has been using advertising license plates for the birdhouse roofs . Anybody out there got a line on metal plates ???? not the tags but advertising plates usually put on the front of cars. Anyway he enjoys making these and it has earned him some cash to buy legos

Yes! That's what I'm talkin about!

His plans are right up my alley (no Sketch Up thingys for us)

I love the written instructions so the birds know where to enter and which birds are to use each house. What a great young man! He can come work in my shop anytime.

That's the idea! Never thought of the license plate thingy. Great job by the little fellow. The next generation woodworker.

Good idea, try a local car dealer and see if they have old ones they are not using any longer.

Way to go John, I like your son's thinking "build bird houses, sell them, buy Legos, build something". He is off to a good start.
