Cutting Board (obligatory project :))

Been laid up healing, so posting some pics. My most recent project is this cutting board. I saw the design previously made by multiple LJ members. Love how it came out. But even better is a community that encourages me to try new things and inspire. I have yet to put a finish on this board, but will be using a mineral spirit/beeswax combo when it gets here. Used Hard maple, walnut and Padauk. I believe Sinister is the original creator of this design and method. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/85744

Absolutely beautiful. That grain’s going pop like crazy when you apply your

mineral oil bees wax combo.

Welcome to the Sinister club…membership is limited to those who have faced the challenge and made one of these rather sinister boards… well done… waiting for a pic with finish on…

First, I like the board. But what I am really commenting on is the clever title. “Obligatory” seems about right ;)
