Here’s a cross I did for my mom’s mother’s day present. The wood started out as pallet wood but then discovered it is Alder. Just did the lap joint on the router table with glue and clamps. After looking at Greg’s and Benji’s carving, I decided to give it a go and now I’m addicted. Finish is seven coats of Min-Wax Tung Oil Finish with 0000 steel wool sanding between each coat.

Wow! Your cross looks fantastic! Like the ripples and grooves, very well carved. The finish is great as well.
