This is a coffee table I made for my wife from black walnut. It was made from hand tools and while it took over a year it was a very fun project. The inspiration for this project came from a piece by James Krenov that I found in one of his books. The joints are mortise and tenon, with dovetailed in stringers supporting the top. The finish is french polished shellac and buffed with wax.

Very pretty. I am really liking the floating table top design. (Cloud top?)
