Garden Bench with Table

Project by Greg Wurst posted 483 days ago 868 views 9 times favorited 11 comments Add to Favorites Watch

I’d seen this bench design a couple times here and decided to design one of my own.

I added a couple more legs at the rear for support and a couple cup holders, but it is otherwise very similar. You can read about the construction in my blog here:

If you’re interested the Sketchup plans and material list can be downloaded here:

Thanks for looking.

Greg, excellent work, we love the color of the finish. Thanks for the posting the plans, that is very thoughtful of you.

Greg: very nice. The color is fantastic. That inspired me. The bench just went on my “to do” list. If I ever get through with my wife’s list, I can start on mine.

I used a cedar-colored exterior finish from Lowes. I forget the exact name of the brand, but I bought it in quart size and it is more of a paint than a stain (coats more than penetrates the wood). I used pretty-much the entire quart, so figure one bench for quart or 4 benches per gallon.

a1Jim – Thanks, I try to take care of myself. People keep giving me funny looks when they see my driving, though. ;)
