When my daughter came to me and said she was getting married, I was excited. Not because she was moving out, (because she had already done that) I was excited that I was getting some extra shop time to make this garden arbor for the wedding. I even got to brush up on some scrolling with a lil’ critter art for the corner braces…..

I really like that. It looks like it was a lot of fun to make as well as a wonderful end-result.

Congrats on the extra shop time!
I would say that it was put to good use!!
Glad to see the “museum” tool collection has been put to use!!!

Randy, There’s more to this project then just good looks. This lumber was strategically cut to assure that the arbor would stand a half an inch shorter then my new son-in-law. Yeah, I was smiling too….

Just kiddin’ ;^)

Turned out really cool.

Love the cut out “critters”.

I had the same assignment for my youngest daughter’s wedding here at my place. Got a start on the arbor, my wife came out to the shop, and said “never mind, it’s off. AND DON”T SAY A WORD TO HER!” Welcome to my world!

Andy – good luck on that one…

-- Jeff - I have not failed. I've just found 10,002 ways that won't work.

Marty nice work. Really with the time you have had off you have done really a nice job.
I like the birds and butterflies. So does the wife.

I like the “little critter art”, it really sets it off.

Did you cut them free hand?
