Larger Band Saw Box

June, 2013—This one is “larger” because it’s the largest I’ve made so far. I’ve made wider, and also taller, but this is the first that I have not been able to slice off the back under my 14-inch band saw (without a riser block, which I do not have). So to make it work I glued up some boards to use for the back. As you can see, one of the boards is lighter than the others. But, hey, it’s the back!

This box is 7-inches high, and 10-inches wide.

Aside from the back, nothing else is unusual in construction. The front is maple, with dark hardwood drawer handles. Finished with water-based gloss poly.

Looks nice! I’ve done that separate piece of wood for the back as well and I agree. It’s the back! LOL

I sure like your boxes, they are so neat to me. I’m inspired to build after viewing, thanks for that.

Ok now go get yourself the bandsaw you deserve. You are worth it. I want a new one.
