Walnut, finished with oil. Got the plans from this book http://www.amazon.ca/Crafting-Wood-Logic-Puzzles-Three-dimensional/dp/158923247X
It is great fun to watch people try to take it apart and reassemble it. Hardly anyone can.

Really cool. Should make a few of these for shows.

-- Mother Nature created it, I just assemble it.

Well done Joel. The walnut is beautiful. I’ve tried this puzzle three times and have yet to come close to this tight a fit (the first version practically falls apart on its own!). Thanks for sharing.

Really neat. I’ll have to try it myself.

I’ve been making this puzzle for about 25 years. Makes a great gift for the kids teachers, coaches and friends. Hand made makes it special, puzzle makes it interesting and making it work makes you smile!
