This is a banister I just finished. The customer is doing some remodeling and needed a hand rail at the bottom turn of the stairs. She had a piece of mahogany sitting in here back yard, 6” sq and 10’ long, that she wanted to use. What a surprise, genuine ribbon mahogany. I hated using it on a set of stairs, so I really went over the top with the design. The center square is ash.

Nice …... I like the design; I think it does the grain justice.

Very nice. A banister is on my list of projects for my house once I get the time. You have sparked my imagination. I am impressed. Thanks for posting.
