This is my first real attempt at making a cutting board. I’m pretty happy with the result, but I will try next to do a more complicated pattern and a much larger board.

Nice. I bet you could alter the sequence just a tad and make a wonderful chess board as well!

That was the original plan but I laid it out wrong on the first glue up so I was relegated to the stripe pattern for the finished product.

That turned out really pretty. Great wood colors, beautiful grains and finish.
