Spring Lotus is a sea shell from Morroco that was cut and put into 2 part expoxy. Fall side is copper over copper with leafs between. The copper has acid patina and transtint dye in shellac over the top of all. Just a great day in the shop. Finished this and the pens, bracelets and the seam rippers. Have 3 more pieces ready for finish.

Not to be a party pooper, but where’s the wood?
I thought this was Lumberjocks not Seashelljocks.
Can somebody help me out – I’m confused?

Uncle Stumpy just to help you out that is a very expensive piece of mesquite burl. Yes the mesquite was dyed and it has two seasons. But not everyone gets it.

Stunning pieces! Very attractive combination of colors and finish. Love the natural edge. Excellent work!
