had an old rusted barrel kicking around so I decided to make a water fountain out of it. my wife painted the metal parts and I stained it and made a top to support the hand pump and this is the result.

That’s awesome! I have been toying with the idea of making some kind of fountain. The pre-mades are way to expensive and a pump is only like $50….and I like yours better than anything at Lowe’s anyway:)

That is a great project! The look is just right, and what an idyllic setting.
