Very nice gate! I am assuming that your vehicles have clearance to miss the center island?

Great looking gates. Love the perfect gap between them and the way they close, all level and horizontal.
Speaking of horizontal – Mike is probable right. I remember ripping an exhaust box on that kind of set-up, years ago.

thanks guys . The hinges where from . the center island is only 1”3/4 – 2” from ground level once i get the driveway tramaced it should be level. It looks worse in the pic! there is angle brackets screwd to the bottom of the gate to act as stops so the gate cant fly open

Your gate looks great and well made. Like the design, metal and wood combo. I’m sure it will last long. Great job!
