This is a going away present for an Air Force Colonel. My neighbor and I had a request for a giant wooden hammer…and we came up with this. Coins are customary tokens for Air Force assignments, so we installed the coin for the Colonel’s most recent mission at the base of the hammer…I only wish we could have displayed both sides of the coin. The back side is a really awesome image of the globe, with satellite tracks. Either way, the LT. Colonel that requested the piece is very pleased. It will be presented at a ceremony later in the week.

The materials are Black Walnut and Hard Maple.

Fantastic mallet! Like the design, great use of contrasting woods. Well done!
