Here are a pair of turnings from Claro Walnut Root Burl.

The first is a Vase / Hollow form. 8 inch in diam X 4 inch tall. Turned to a 1/4 inch wall.

The second is a Bowl . 7 inch diam X 4 inch tall. 3/8 wall.

Both have several bark inclusions and natural cracks / defects.

Both are finished with Hand Wipe Poly.

Thanks For Looking

Hey Scrappy… your bucket’s got a hole in it. Beautiful bucket though. Really nice work

Scrappy I bet this was a pretty knarly piece to start with, you have done very well indeed, it’s a pity your photos are picking up the reflection of the mesh as it helps hide the lovely flow top to bottom.
Some great colouring in these two, my pick is the full bodied piece.
Well done

Nice pieces, Dan. It looks like it might not have held together under much more turning!

Gorgeous bowls! Like the wood and shapes, the holes give nice accents. Great turning!
