Bunk beds for my girls. Made of maple. I built up the the bed posts from several thicknesses of 3/4” maple to get the thickness. The head boards and foot boards are all frame and panel and mortise & tennon construction. the stairs are made from 1/2” plywood with locking rabbit joints to build up several boxes to create stairs. Since the bed would be painted I used white beaded hardboard for the head/foot board panels laminated back to back to give the same look on both sides. The bed rails are attached with the Rockler locking rail hardware recessed into the posts.

Nice project – especially the stairs and storage idea.

Beautiful and well crafted bunk beds. Like the design especially the stairs with storage. I’m sure the girls love it.
