Country Kitchen Trash Can Keeper

Project by steveosshop posted 507 days ago 1653 views 1 time favorited 6 comments Add to Favorites Watch

My wife is really into the country furniture, so I built her this trash can keeper in a country style to hid our plan white plastic trash can we have in the kitchen. I built it out of 1 4X8 sheet of 3/4” plywood and then painted it a dark wine color to match the accents on our new wall paper. We need to finish some painting on the inside and put a stop chain on the inside so the door stops at a certain point, but aside from that its all hers.

Nice job. Can’t let the LOML see this or she will want one. :-)

Nice work. I made something very similar for my wife a few years ago for recycles. Mine has two pull out doors that hold 4 small containers of recycles. She wants me to make her a new one though. If it were an inch wider, everything would fit in it much better. That might make a good quick winter project.

Nice work Steve! I will have to make my wife one now. She hates that the white trash can is seen in the kitchen even though its under the counter. Good job…..
