Carved this out last weekend from a neighbors Birch Tree he had taken down a couple summers ago. I hoarded some of the main part of the trunk so it did not go to the other neighbors wood burner. I simple band sawed down the center of one of the cutoffs & carved it out with my angle grinder, sanded down with the RO sander & finished it with some water based Poly (which by the way I did not like). I am going to give this back to the neighbor who owned the tree, I am sure they will like it….................Jack

You did a great job on this. I am sure the neighbors will LOVE it. It’s a true piece of art. Nice work.

Lovely bows! Like the shapes and the interesting grains and colors on the birch. Well done!
