Project Information

First post here, just finished a little project for my dad's birthday. His shaving gear is looking a little sad these days so i whipped this up for him, first spline joints and definitely learned a couple of things for next time.
Not a lot of progress stuff but its pretty self explanatory.

My, that is good looking project. I really like it.
Is the hole in the top used as a handle?

Thanks, forgot to mention that hole is where the razor sits, just didn't have one when I took the photo's.
