Made this the other day after viewing many ..
Special Shout out to Derek Cohen of Perth Australia
Check out his great site for hand made tools ( in the woodshop)
Also thanks to LJ’s Chuck M and Kevin for their inspirations.

Made of laimnated woods, with a Blade from Lee Valley
Brass everywhere with the exception of the eye hook which I could not source in Brass.
A Brass coller is in the works to hold the blade steady.

Wow, great idea and a well made tool….the only reason I don’t have one is the cost, but that is a great saving.

looks nice. i’ve never owned a router plane, but just a thought; wouldn’t you want the handles raises a bit so you can grip them better? ex: a dado on a plywood sheet when making a bookcase
