This is my first attempt at box (finger) joints. This knife block is made of Cherry with bamboo shishkabob skewers to hold the knives in place. The box is 7.5×5 x 11. I chose not to glue the skewers inside the box, this way you can add and remove some skewers to accomodate more knives or fewer knives. Thanks for looking.

Wow, never thought of using skewers… I have something similar but they’re plastic inserts for the kife block, although I like the fact that you can remove the skewers! Thanks for the tip :) Nice block to boot!

Your finger joints came out perfect. The skewers are a great idea.

Very cool idea, I would have never thought of using skewers. Finger joints look great too!
