My wife bought this etched brass light switch cover for the bedroom a few years ago but the edges turned out to be rather sharp, so I got tasked with making a wooden frame for it. It’s one solid piece of maple, scrollsawn out and then rabbited to fit the plate in from the back. The rabbit was the hardest part, as no-one seems to make a 1/16” rabbiting bit. I finally ended up using a 1/2” cove bit in the router table with only the last 1/16th & the bearing protruding.
