This bench seat was for my sons girlfriend and was a collaborative project i.e. my son and myself. Since it was to match some existing furniture in color which I was unable to come up with in the shop, and he was in a hurry to get it delivered, we snapped a few pics of the unfinished piece and loaded it up so he could take it home and liesurely apply the stain and finish! Actually I wish I could get all projects to leave the shop this way unfinished-lol-It’s just a simple utilitarian design, didn’t take near the time the coffee table it’s sitting on took. Solid white oak construction, except for back and carcass which are 1/4” and 3/4” oak ply respectively. We chose to use dowel construction throughout and I really believe elephants could sit on it with no problems.
