This is something I have been wanting to build for my little guy for a couple months and I’m glad I didnt have any other projects in the garage this weekend. He loves it! I have a street bike I occasionaly ride around on and he is amazed by it, he watches me leave and trys to growl like the engine “grahhh, grahhh”. When I showed this to him he reached and began grahh grahh. He’s been riding or pushing it all morning.

I made it from all shop scrap Fur wheels from a table build, rewood frame from a shower bench, front fork is aspen from a desk, and the rest is just odds and ends. The triple tree is made from a door hinge and a 5’’ long bolt running through the fork. It lets it turn a couple inches either way. Back axle is a poplar 1’’ dowel glued and screwed into the wheels floating in the frame, a couple donuts screwed to the axle keep it from shifting side to side. Im going spray it it with laquer tonight while he’s sleeping.

It’s pretty rewarding building a toy having him like it.

Great little bike. I suspect that you have created a new family heirloom – to be passed on to future generations.

Wow! It looks like he is having a blast! Very cool! A future Harley rider for sure.

This is great, and I will make one for my niece and nephew.
I was worried the strength of these makeshift kind of hardwares for axle for wheel or others.
But you just showed me that they are find for kids.
Thank you!
