These two small benches work well as coffee table or benches . I like them because they are so simple. The two pictured are from the same texas walnut log I cut some years back that have been air drying for two years. These two came off the top so I used them as small pieces because the cambian layer is exsposed on the other side. They work well here but just think If I used a ten foot slab and four tables all in a line . All this and Heaven too.

Very nice benches, but you showed us the wood and mentioned a ten foot slab, is this a definite plan, or is it
something that is still being formed in your imagination before you can get it to take a solid wooden form?
Thank you for sharing, and waiting to see what will come out of that wood.

really nice benches, i might use your design some except for a larger piece of walnut that i have, very nice for sure…ive got my eye on some walnuts here, will wait till fall to think of felling them..
