The wife wanted another shelf but I was tired of making something boring looking. I found these small pillars and came up with an idea. I thought it would give it a sort of roman look. The wood is Ash and the finish is sprayed on Deft brush on lacquer. The wood brackets are of course 16 inch center. The shelf is 36 inches wide and 12 inches deep.I had to join two 6 inch deep pieces and did so with biscuits. After drying I ran it through my planer then sanded it with 100 grit so I could get a darker shade with the stain. It is now in the process of drying and I will mount it tomorrow.

When I first glanced at this, I thought there was a comma after wife. Would have given a whole different
meaning to the project. Very nice shelf, and should keep the beautiful lady happy.
