Latest picture frame, haven’t made one in about 4 years so there was a bit of a curve getting the kinks worked out. Used a beautiful piece of walnut finished with 6 or 7 coats of oil/varnish finished with hand rubbed wax. Only power tools used were bandsaw for the long rips, ripping the “tenon” portion of the halflap and routing the channel for the glass and matte board. Otherwise it was all chisel, plane, handsaws and scraper. The picture is a certificate my brother got from the state of Wyoming. About 4 years ago 3 of us drove out there and caught all 4 species of native cutthroat trout and submitted photos. Once they get verified the state sends you one of these nice prints. I promised my brother I would frame it for him and it’s been hanging around my garage ever since. Tried to make a YouTube video of the entire process but somehow it just came up a blank screen?
