Well, my wife, finally had enough of the carport (her parking place) looking like pic#1. So, it was time to clean it up. My son and I spent the wekend going through all of my junk and organizing. What that actually means, is that I threw away a lot of stuff. My handyman business always has me bringing home junk, scrap, etc.
I’ll take credit for the bench design, good and especially bad. The plywod storage cart credit goes to Dadoo (see: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/2614 for my inspiration).
When I originally built it, it didn’t work out. I used 4” door hinges, but didn’t take into account the slope of my driveway. So I had to improvise a hinge of sorts to allow the cart to open and still have good support.
Let me know what you think.

I am not sure what the problem was in the first picture? Seems like everything was visible and easy to find!
Were you pinching your son on the leg to get him to make that face? ;>)
Nice job combining the bench and plywood storage!!

Looks like you got a good helper.
So the wife unit gets to park there? Looks like a good spot for a tablesaw to me.
Welcome to LJs,

That’s after a little clean up had taken place. If you look close you can see the bench already started.
My son, Dennis, is an absolute HAM. Pull out a camera, and he immediately starts making faces. My wife and I must have taken 20-30 pics of him with Spiderman popcicle residue on his face. It was a proud day for him indeed getting to help the old-man build “such a project”.
Thanks for looking.
