My first project from following plans by American Woodworker was this chest given my son and his new bride. It is of solid cherry with mahogany straps.

nice work, I particularly like the look of the box joints on the curved lid.

Your trunk looks fantastic! Great design and joinery. I am sure that the new couple loves it. It’s indeed a great wedding gift. Great job!
