This sunglass display is 6’ wide by 4’ tall and is 5 1/2” deep. These are my first hand cut dovetails. Nothing fancy, I chickened out and just made one large tail at each joint. I also thought that being this big that laying out more pins and tails might have looked a little busy. The copper pipe is sanded with 320 wet/dry paper and spayed with Krylon clear acrylic. I finished the walnut with 3 coats of shellac (Bull’s Eye Seal Coat) thinned to a 1lb cut so that I could apply it a little easier.

Looks good!
I’m glad to see you included a portrait of yourself in the first photo. ;-)

I think the 1 large dovetail works great for the case, sometimes less is more. Besides, the rest of the project looks great too!

Hutch, your future must be bright to have so many shades. Great looking project. I love my Maui Jim sunglasses. We actually printed the POP displays that is in your photo. Thank you for sharing.
