Having been a (very willing ;) participant in 2 of these projects in the past I can tell you they are the most time consuming, expensive, worthwhile and rewarding projects you could ever do. One turned out to be a welder-jock and the other an artist-jock.
Congratulations to you both… and to Dexter (good name!).

congrats to you and the lady who did all of the really hard work on this project. This is one good looking baby. Of course the finishing is yet to be started and will take a very long time and will take a lot of effort from you both. good luck to dexter!!
I notice he’s already going with the short haircut to make the sawdust easier to remove.

congratulations!! You’ve put a lot of work into the details and the finish – what a gorgeous glow! Pretty darned exciting. I guess you will be having other things to do on the 13th than pop on down the road to the LJ picnic. haha :)

Awesome, Gotta a couple little ones myself. Youngest is now 18 months. They seriously reduce shop time, but it never feels like a loss. Enjoy it. I expect a cradle and some toys out of your shop soon.
