Two first in one project! The lathe is my first love in my shop but I had not turned a bowl on it and to be truthful a little intimidated by the whole idea. I purchased a jaw chuck and got my courage up and went to “YouTube” for technique pointers. The turning took a few days with pauses to think of what the next step should be before proceeding. The wood is mulberry the same tree my lamp was turned from. My idea was to have the lamp and bowl on the nightstand together. Now that I have one bowl under my belt I know there will be more in the near future,

Hope you like , thanks for looking.

Very nice! You did a great job matching the grain on the lid.

Thats really neat, I like it.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Fantastic bowl and lid! A great fit and love the orientation of the pretty grains and the finish is great as well.

gracias! Yo estaba un poco de suerte en este caso, resultó mejor de lo que pensé que sería. Mi plan es hacer más lámparas y cuencos en un futuro próximo.
