I had someone order a deer call but wanted a nicer piece of wood so I ran over and picked up some East Indian Rosewood. This one has a couple of modifications that makes it work better. The call is drilled all the way through with a 3/4” bit then I turned a nylon bushing to go between the pieces. The bushing holds the halves together without binding and holds the reed set tighter than the wood does.
Finish clear stain and several coats of Deft lacquer.
