This was a custom wrap around for a customer in Seattle. It has entry stairs, a two plane deck that wraps around this huge fir tree. and I attached planter boxes lined with hardi board for that finished look. We kept the benches from the original deck for posterity. This view is from their second story window.

This is a really nice deck. Just yesterday I was asked to build something similar to this. This post definately gives me some ideas but the build will have to wait until the sunroom addition and kitchen remodel are completed. My wife has a lot of good ideas but somehow I can’t seem to convince her that every one of them is not a top priority. :)

Hi Napaman;
I use outdoor wood decking ,the factory treatment penetrates far enough to give good wear and tear for years with out retreatment every year.
