This was another project that the wife suggested. Simple 2×4 snowmen and Christmas tress. She first saw them on Pinterest. Never actually had a plan to go by. Just came up with the dimensions off the top of my head, seeing that the imperfections and differences are part of their charm. They’re made of 2×4 with a little scrap pine for the hats and stars. Painted with craft paint. Nothing fancy, but they did make nice easy, low cost decorations/presents.

I’m in no rush for that just yet either indgreg. Just joined the site yesterday and going though some old projects putting them up. Made these for last Christmas.

Ho! Ho! Ho! and Merry Christmas in June already. It’s a nice bunch of presents. Unfortunately, most of us ain’t got enough wisdom to get started this early. No, sir! We do it the foolish way and wait until the week before Christmas to get started. I admire you for your forethought. These are really nice and welcome to Lumberjocks.

Very nice and 6 months early ! Welcome to LJ.

You inspired me with an idea : if you drill a (slightly oversized) hole in the middle of each slice and glue a dowel on the lowest one, it makes a nice simple kid’s toy.
