This creation started with a 1/4” piece of bolivian rose wood for the top, with a ribbon and birds eye maple eagles head with black walnut beak overlay and HD shield inlay. And chocolate colored heart wood bidseye maple sides and legs. The eagles head is 1/4” thick and it was quite a process removeing the rose wood to inlay it.

I love the look of rosewood. That inlay must have been quite a process!

Very Cool. The contrast of the woods makes a striking top.

The eagle head is 1/4 ribbon and birds eye maple, I I used my laminate trimmer with small bits to cut it in.
