Last autumn I “harvested” a dead branch while I was pruning my parents in law apple tree that is nearly 100 years old. The apple tree species is Säfstaholm (in Swedish).
Now was a good time to use a part of the branch since I wanted to turn a rattle for a friends little newborn girl named Stina. The rattle is treated with boiled linseed oil and bees wax only, since I believe that the rattle will end up in the little girls mouth eventually…

”since I believe that the rattle will end up in the little girls mouth eventually…” …. Well YEAH. Ya think? :-)

Nice little toy. Looks like it could last thru several children too.

Well done, I think that it came out great. Should become a cherished heirloom for that little girl.

Wonderful baby rattle! Love the wood and the rings and way better than the plastic ones.
