Inspired by Mark Gipson’s Dead Blow Mallet a few days ago I decided to make one myself. I used Lyptus and oak. First one I did not try to add any lead to which was a mistake it feels very light. just glued up another one but drilled out some pockets to fill with lead. I twisted the oak 90 degrees for a different look. Might make it a little softer in the center not having the end grain there? Fun projects.

Pretty photogenic for a mallet. Nicely done.

It looks good and could handle the job. Well done!
