I had some free time yesterday and a Pecan log/limb that kept saying; Turn Me – Turn Me!
I guess this is what it wanted too be!

Finish; Wipe on Poly.
Thanks for looking!

What a beautiful bowl. Is there any secret to getting the bark to not chip off when you turn it? I’ve never done anything remotely close to turning a bowl but it seems the bark would just want to rip off.

Nick: Good looking bowl. Is that the natural back or do you burn it? I have never worked with Pecan, is it easy to turn?

Good looking bowl. I like to turn pecan and have turned both natural edge and reg bowls with it. The bark does flake off easily though.

Amazing bowl! Love the live edge, the shape as well as the colors and grains. Excellent turning!
