9 months to build, 54 hours of labor and 5 days at the hospital and our first born son is finally home :-)

There goes my shop time budget for this year lol. Not really a wood project but had to share ;-)

There’ll be lots of reasons to do woodworking for him and with him in the future.

-- Bill M. I love my job as a firefighter, but nothing gives me the satisfaction of running my hand over a project that I have built and just finished sanding.

Your best work yet. :) Looks like the hospital was on base. Congrats. Glad all are home safe and sound.

It’s amazing what a good mortise and tenon will produce.

Many happy congratulations to you and your family! Your boy will be sweeping wood shavings off the floor before you know it. Cherish this time. Now get off the Internet and do whatever your wife asks.

Congratulations. Another future woodworker. We are five months in to the first grandchild project – of course grandpa’s contribution is kind of minimal. I did provide 25 percent of the genes.

Thank you so much everyone! The little guy and Mom worked real hard to get this guy here so I can’t take much of the credit for the project. That credit goes to momma ;-)
